Beko and Blomberg are both Arçelik brands, and in Canada they share a lot of hardware: the same inverter motors, the same door locks, similar boards behind different fascias. We are an authorized servicer for both, so a Beko part number usually resolves to something we have fitted before.
Most of the Beko work we do here is 24-inch. Slim laundry pairs and dishwashers go into condo kitchens where a 27-inch machine will not fit, and ventless heat pump dryers go into buildings with no dryer duct at all. Compact machines are harder to get at than full-size ones, and on a stacked pair in a closet the access can take longer than the repair. That is factored into the quote rather than added afterwards, and the way we price it is on our appliance repair cost page.

A heat pump dryer moves the same air around a closed loop and pulls the moisture out through a condenser, so it lives or dies on airflow through that condenser. The lint filter catches the coarse stuff; the fine lint goes through it and packs into the condenser fins, and once those are loaded the machine cannot shed heat or moisture. Cycles stretch out, then stop early with clothes still wet.
We clean the condenser and the evaporator, check the drain pump and the condensate reservoir for blockages, and test the compressor and its thermistors if the loop is not reaching temperature. Compressor faults on these are a bigger job than a vented dryer, and we quote them before touching anything. See dryer repair.
A Beko that will not spin is often a drain fault rather than a motor fault. The machine has to empty before it can spin, so a blocked pump or filter leaves water in the tub and the cycle stalls with the drum full. We check the pump filter and impeller first, then the pressure switch and its hose, which tells the board how much water is in there.
When the pump is clear, the next suspects are the ProSmart inverter motor and its hall sensor, which reports drum speed. Walking and banging is usually the shock absorbers or the counterweight bolts, and on a slim 24-inch cabinet an unbalanced load moves the whole machine far more than it would a full-size one. Standing water and a stopped cycle means the machine tried to drain and could not confirm it had. We pull the filter and the sump, check the drain pump impeller for glass and grit, and test the check valve so the water that leaves does not come back. A drain hose looped too low under the sink causes the same fault on a machine that is otherwise perfect.
On models with AutoDose we also check the dispensing module, because a sensor fault there can stop a cycle that looks like a drain problem from the outside. Dishwasher repair covers the rest.
Beko NeoFrost models run dual cooling, which means separate evaporators and separate fans for the two compartments. That changes the diagnosis completely: one compartment failing while the other holds temperature points at that compartment’s own fan, defrost circuit or damper rather than at the compressor. On a single-evaporator fridge the same symptom would send you looking in a different place.
We confirm which evaporator is frosting, test the fan and the defrost components on that side, and check the control board is calling for cooling at all. If both compartments are warm and the compressor is running without cooling anything, that is sealed system work. Otherwise it is standard fridge repair.
Beko built-in ovens use a HotAir fan to move heat around, and that fan runs in a bearing that dries out. First it whines, then it grinds, and eventually it slows enough that the oven heats unevenly even though the elements are fine. We replace the motor rather than the element when the noise and the uneven baking arrive together.
Uneven heat with a quiet fan is usually the temperature sensor drifting, which we measure against the resistance chart before condemning a board. Touch panel membranes are the other common failure on these, where the oven works but will not take an input. See oven repair.
On gas, a burner that clicks but will not light is almost always the igniter electrode or the spark module, and spills are what kill electrodes: liquid gets into the ceramic, carbon builds on the tip, and the spark goes to the nearest metal instead of the gas. Gas work on a range in BC needs a gas ticket, which is what our Technical Safety BC licence (BC30591) covers.
An induction zone that does nothing is usually the power board or the coil for that zone rather than the whole cooktop, so we test zones individually before quoting. Stove and cooktop repair has more.

Have your proof of purchase and the serial plate ready when you book, because coverage is checked against the serial rather than the purchase date alone. Out of warranty we quote the job ourselves, and either way the repair carries a six-month warranty on the parts and labour we put in.

Pumps, door locks, filters, igniters and sensors are quick to get; inverter motors and boards are ordered against your model and serial, quoted first, and fitted on a return visit. Because Beko and Blomberg share so much hardware, we often already have the part on the shelf under the other badge.

We do, and they are a big part of our Beko work because so many Vancouver condo buildings have no dryer venting. Heat pump machines need the condenser kept clear to dry properly, so a lot of the "my dryer stopped working" calls on these turn out to be airflow rather than a failed component. When it is the compressor or the refrigerant loop, that is a bigger job and we quote it before starting.

Compact machines work harder for their size. A 24-inch washer spins the same load in a smaller, lighter cabinet, and a ventless dryer runs longer cycles than a vented one, so wear parts like shock absorbers, pump impellers and door locks see more work than they would on a full-size machine in a house. None of that makes the appliance a write-off; those are the cheaper parts to replace.
