About Wolf
Wolf is the cooking side of the Sub-Zero Group, based in Madison, Wisconsin. Their dual-stacked burner system puts 20,000 BTU searing heat and a 300 BTU simmer on the same burner. We see that setup in Vancouver kitchens from Kitsilano to downtown penthouses.
The line includes dual fuel ranges, gas ranges, induction ranges, convection ovens, steam ovens, speed ovens, gas and induction cooktops, microwave drawers, and ventilation hoods. These are high-end units with tight temperature control, and they need a tech who knows the gas and electrical side of things.
Wolf ranges and cooktops run on dual-stacked burners and induction power boards. The calls we get most often: cracked hot surface igniters on dual fuel ranges, gas valve solenoids that kill one burner, induction power board faults that throw error codes, and spark module problems on gas cooktops. We work on DF, GR, IR ranges and CT, CI cooktops. Every job ends with a full burner and ignition safety check.
Wolf ovens mix convection, steam, and speed cooking, which means more parts that can fail. Convection blower motors go out and heat gets uneven. Temperature sensors drift and the oven runs hot or cold. Steam ovens throw descaling sensor errors that won’t clear. Self-clean models can jam on the door latch. We service SO, CSO, SPD, and DO series wall ovens and check calibration when we’re done.
