Reliable Appliance Repair Serving Mission & the Fraser Valley Since 2012

Mission climbs the hillside north of the Fraser, and the appliance repair work here changes with the elevation and the age of the housing.

Cedar Valley and the newer subdivisions above Dewdney Trunk Road are full of homes built in the last fifteen years, with Samsung, LG, and Bosch appliance suites throughout. These units lean heavily on electronic controls and smart diagnostics, and warranty-period breakdowns are common. Our factory-authorized certifications for Bosch, Thermador, Electrolux, and Blomberg mean we can carry out those repairs directly instead of you waiting weeks for the manufacturer to route someone into the Valley.

The Mission City core, West Heights, and the streets running down to the waterfront are a different story. Much of this housing dates from the 1950s through the 1980s, and the appliances in it range from nearly new to well past their expected life. Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, GE, and Frigidaire are the brands we see most. The usual calls are refrigerator sealed system failures, washing machine pump and bearing problems, and gas range igniters that have given out. Our vans carry genuine parts for all of these, so most repairs are done in one visit.

Hatzic, Hatzic Prairie, Silverdale, Dewdney, and Deroche are acreage country. Properties out here usually have a second fridge in the garage and a standalone freezer in a shop or outbuilding, and many of them run on well water and septic. That well water puts mineral scale through dishwashers and washing machines, so our techs check for hard water damage on every diagnostic in these areas. Most appliance repair companies in Metro Vancouver won’t drive out to a Deroche acreage for a freezer that quit. We will.

Further up toward Steelhead and Stave Falls the properties get further apart again, and response times depend on our routing for the day rather than the distance. The pricing doesn’t change either way.

We’ve been providing appliance repair in Mission and the surrounding Fraser Valley since 2012. Most requests placed before noon have a technician at the door the same day, and everything else gets a next-morning slot.

Appliance Repair Services in Mission

We repair all types of appliances across Mission BC, gas and electric, residential and light commercial. A broken washer in a Cedar Valley family home gets the same attention as a chest freezer in a Hatzic Prairie outbuilding. Our technicians arrive with the tools and genuine parts to finish the job in one visit.

Recent Appliance Repair in Mission - Case Study

The Problem: A homeowner in Silverdale called about a Samsung French-door refrigerator (RF263 series) that had stopped cooling on the fridge side. The freezer was still holding, but the refrigerator compartment was sitting at room temperature and they had already thrown out a full load of groceries.

The Diagnosis: Our technician was out the next morning on the Fraser Valley route. A freezer that still works while the fridge side warms up points at airflow rather than the compressor, so the back panel came off first. The evaporator coil was buried in frost, the defrost heater read open circuit, and the defrost sensor was out of spec against Samsung’s tech sheet. The technician also found the evaporator drain tube frozen solid, which is what turns this failure into a repeat visit if it gets missed: the coil defrosts, the meltwater has nowhere to go, and the ice builds straight back up.

The Fix: Replaced the defrost heater and sensor with Samsung genuine parts, cleared and re-routed the drain tube, and manually defrosted the coil on-site rather than leaving the customer to unplug the unit for a day. Ran a full cooling cycle and confirmed the fridge compartment pulled down to 37°F before leaving.

The Outcome: The fridge has held temperature since, and the customer confirmed at our follow-up that there had been no return of the warm-fridge symptom. Total cost: $225 labour + $140 in parts. Total time on-site: 1.5 hours. A comparable replacement was over $2,600.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can you get a technician to my Mission home?
We dispatch to Mission on the same routes that cover Abbotsford, which means most requests placed before noon are handled same-day and the rest are booked for the next morning. You’re not waiting on a technician to make a special trip out from Vancouver, and you’re not paying extra for the drive either.
Is your pricing the same in Mission as it is in Vancouver?
Identical. A $100 diagnostic that goes toward your repair labour, plus average repair labour of $225-$300. No travel fees, distance surcharges, or mileage charges, whether you’re in Mission City, out along Dewdney Trunk Road, or up past Stave Falls. Some companies advertise a low call-out fee then bill hourly labour on top. We don’t. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Do you service properties on well water around Hatzic and Silverdale?
Yes, and we check for it as part of every diagnostic out there. Well water leaves mineral scale on dishwasher spray arms, water inlet valves, and washing machine fill screens, and it is the root cause of a large share of the calls we take on acreages around Hatzic Prairie, Silverdale, Dewdney, and Deroche. Replacing the failed part without dealing with the scale just means seeing the same failure again next year, so we tell you what we find and how to slow it down.
What happens if you can't fix my appliance on the first visit?
If the specific replacement part isn’t on our van, we’ll order it directly from the manufacturer and come back, usually within 2-3 business days. You won’t pay again for the return visit. That’s all covered under your original repair charge. It doesn’t happen often though. We finish about 85% of repairs on the first trip because our vans carry parts for the most common issues we see across Mission and the eastern Fraser Valley.
My appliance is making strange noises but still working. Should I call now or wait?
Call now. Grinding, buzzing, clicking, rattling noises are almost always early signs of something wearing out. Catching it early usually means a simpler, cheaper repair. If you wait until the appliance dies completely, a minor fix can turn into a major one, and you risk damaging other components in the process. The $100 diagnostic goes toward your repair labour if a repair is needed, so getting it checked early costs you nothing extra.
