What West Vancouver Homeowners Say About Us
EXCELLENT Based on 1055 reviews Posted on Oleksandr Dmytriiev2026-07-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an absolute amazing experience with this company. I work for property management company and consistently use Vancouver appliance Service Pros when I have an issue Anytime I have a problem they send out a tech the next day for me and get the repair done or give me detailed description of what needs to be done and how they are gonna do it. Communication has been excellent and their online portal lets me see the progress of each repair and the parts are. They have made my life easier. Thank you so much for all your hard work!Posted on Ken Lum2026-07-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Leon was professional and provided an honest assessment weighing the cost of a wine fridge repair vs replacement. He took the time to suggest alternative wine fridge replacement models should I decide on this route. Much appreciated.Posted on Sandy Parkin2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Trevor was great, explained how to figure out and fix the issues I was having, and said if they still continue to give them another call and he would be glad to come back!Posted on Oliver S2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have never been satisfied with repair contractors in the past and I've always felt there was a lack of transparency and surprise costs that make me feel ripped off. That was not at all the case this time with Vancouver Appliance Service. They truly were transparent from my first call and I knew what I was going to spend for service and labour. The process from beginning to end was very well organized and their online portal for invoices, approvals and updates was very easy to follow and use.Posted on C R2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Leon was great, he answered all of our questions while he was inspecting our gas range. He was punctual and I would hire him again should the need arise!Posted on T Shaw2026-07-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was not my first time using this company for maintenance on my Blomberg dryer. I must say, the first experience a few years ago was horrible, so going into this appointment, I was skeptical about the service. The first technician, Alex, was a no-show. After much rescheduling, we ended up with Shabaz. He was polite and professional with his work, and I would recommend him in the future. For what it's worth, my advice for technicians booking a time frame with clients: If you know you're going to be late, a simple phone call is all it takes. We are all busy people and waiting for 2 hours to have a no-show, is really frustrating for all kinds of reasons. Fortunately, this company did the right thing to fix the situation, which is much appreciated! I will be using them again if needed in the future, and I hope Shabaz is still around at that time.Posted on Steven Biersteker2026-07-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Reliable Appliance Repair Serving West Vancouver & the North Shore Since 2012
West Vancouver is unlike any other municipality we service. The housing stock is almost entirely single-family, the homes are larger than average, and the kitchens tend to be outfitted with premium appliance brands that most repair companies won’t touch. That’s actually why a lot of West Vancouver homeowners call us.
The British Properties and Chartwell are where we see the highest concentration of luxury appliance suites. Sub-Zero refrigerators, Wolf gas ranges, Thermador wall ovens, Gaggenau cooktops, and Miele dishwashers are standard in these homes. When a Sub-Zero sealed system starts losing temperature or a Wolf burner won’t ignite, the manufacturer’s own service call can take two to three weeks to schedule. We carry the diagnostic tools and training for all of these brands, and we can usually get there same-day.
Dundarave and Ambleside have a different character. Many homes here date back to the 1940s through 1960s, with kitchens that have been renovated at least once. You’ll find a mix of older reliable brands like KitchenAid and Whirlpool alongside newer Samsung and LG models that came with the most recent kitchen update. The appliance issues in these neighbourhoods are varied: aging compressors, worn door seals on washers, dryer vents that haven’t been cleaned in years, and control boards on newer units that fail prematurely.
Caulfeild, Eagle Harbour, and the areas approaching Horseshoe Bay are more spread out. Homes here tend to be large, set into the hillside, and exposed to more weather than the lower neighbourhoods. The moisture and coastal air accelerate corrosion on condenser coils and outdoor-vented components. Dryer vent runs in hillside homes are also longer than average, which creates back-pressure and reduces drying efficiency. We check dryer vent condition on every dryer service call in the West Vancouver area.
West Vancouver also has a notable number of homeowners with Jenn-Air and Fisher & Paykel appliances, brands that require specific technical knowledge. Our skilled technicians have years of experience working on these less common makes alongside the standard Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, and GE lineup.
We’ve been providing reliable appliance repair across the West Vancouver area since 2012. Same-day service for morning requests, next-day for afternoon calls.

Recent Appliance Repair in West Vancouver — Case Study
The Problem: A homeowner in the British Properties called about their Sub-Zero 48-inch built-in refrigerator. The fridge side was holding temperature fine, but the freezer had been slowly climbing from -18°C to -8°C over the past week. Ice cream was soft, frozen meals were thawing at the edges, and a puddle was forming under the unit.
The Diagnosis: Our appliance repair technician arrived within two hours. Temperature readings confirmed the freezer was sitting at -7°C. After pulling the unit from the built-in cabinet and removing the rear access panel, the issue was clear: the evaporator coil on the freezer side was completely encased in ice. The defrost heater had failed. On Sub-Zero units of this generation, the defrost heater is a radiant element mounted behind the evaporator. When it stops working, frost accumulates until it blocks airflow entirely, and the freezer gradually loses its ability to hold temperature.
The Fix: Replaced the failed defrost heater with a genuine Sub-Zero OEM part and replaced the defrost thermostat as a preventive measure, since the two components are the same age and the thermostat is a common follow-on failure. Manually defrosted the evaporator coil, checked the drain line for blockages, and reinstalled the unit in the cabinet. Ran the system for 45 minutes to verify the freezer was pulling back down to target temperature.
The Outcome: The freezer was back at -18°C within three hours of the repair. Sub-Zero refrigerators are built to last 20+ years, but the defrost system is a known weak point after 8-10 years. Replacing a $4,000+ Sub-Zero was never the right option here. The repair cost a fraction of that, and all parts and labour are covered under our warranty.
