What Richmond Homeowners Say About Us
EXCELLENT Based on 1055 reviews Posted on Oleksandr Dmytriiev2026-07-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an absolute amazing experience with this company. I work for property management company and consistently use Vancouver appliance Service Pros when I have an issue Anytime I have a problem they send out a tech the next day for me and get the repair done or give me detailed description of what needs to be done and how they are gonna do it. Communication has been excellent and their online portal lets me see the progress of each repair and the parts are. They have made my life easier. Thank you so much for all your hard work!Posted on Ken Lum2026-07-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Leon was professional and provided an honest assessment weighing the cost of a wine fridge repair vs replacement. He took the time to suggest alternative wine fridge replacement models should I decide on this route. Much appreciated.Posted on Sandy Parkin2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Trevor was great, explained how to figure out and fix the issues I was having, and said if they still continue to give them another call and he would be glad to come back!Posted on Oliver S2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have never been satisfied with repair contractors in the past and I've always felt there was a lack of transparency and surprise costs that make me feel ripped off. That was not at all the case this time with Vancouver Appliance Service. They truly were transparent from my first call and I knew what I was going to spend for service and labour. The process from beginning to end was very well organized and their online portal for invoices, approvals and updates was very easy to follow and use.Posted on C R2026-07-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Leon was great, he answered all of our questions while he was inspecting our gas range. He was punctual and I would hire him again should the need arise!Posted on T Shaw2026-07-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was not my first time using this company for maintenance on my Blomberg dryer. I must say, the first experience a few years ago was horrible, so going into this appointment, I was skeptical about the service. The first technician, Alex, was a no-show. After much rescheduling, we ended up with Shabaz. He was polite and professional with his work, and I would recommend him in the future. For what it's worth, my advice for technicians booking a time frame with clients: If you know you're going to be late, a simple phone call is all it takes. We are all busy people and waiting for 2 hours to have a no-show, is really frustrating for all kinds of reasons. Fortunately, this company did the right thing to fix the situation, which is much appreciated! I will be using them again if needed in the future, and I hope Shabaz is still around at that time.Posted on Steven Biersteker2026-07-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Richmond Appliance Repair Services — Serving Richmond & Surrounding Areas Since 2012
Richmond sits on an island, and the housing here is unlike anywhere else in Metro Vancouver. The city has gone through two major waves of development, and both create different appliance repair needs.
Along the Canada Line corridor from Brighouse and Aberdeen up through Lansdowne and West Cambie, the past 15 years have brought dense condo and townhouse developments. These newer units come with compact appliances: 24-inch Samsung fridges, Bosch condensation dryers, LG induction cooktops, and slim-profile dishwashers. They’re space-efficient, but the electronics in these newer models are more complex than what you’d find in a standard-size appliance. When error codes start flashing or a control panel stops responding, you need a technician with the right diagnostic tools and training.
South of Westminster Highway, in neighbourhoods like South Arm, Broadmoor, and along the river in Steveston, the housing is different. Lots of 1970s-80s ranch-style homes with full-size appliance suites, many of which have been through at least one or two rounds of replacement. These kitchens run the gamut: older Frigidaire fridges, newer Samsung ranges, Whirlpool dishwashers of every vintage. The common issues here are straightforward wear and tear, from compressor failures to broken dryer heating elements and dishwashers with drainage issues. We carry genuine parts for all major brands in our vans, so we handle most of these on the first visit.
Richmond also has a strong culture around cooking, and that means cooktops and ranges get heavier use than in most cities. Wok burners, high-BTU gas ranges, and induction cooktops are everywhere. Cooktop repair is one of our most frequent calls in the Richmond area, whether it’s a gas igniter that won’t click, a cracked induction surface, or a high-output burner that’s not running at full power. We’re fully licensed through Technical Safety BC for all gas appliance work (License BC30591).
East Richmond along No. 5 Road has larger lots and some agricultural properties with older appliance setups. Garden City is a mix of commercial and residential. Sea Island is mostly airport-adjacent, but the few residential properties there still need the occasional appliance call.
Our experienced techs cover all of Richmond, from the dense condo corridors near Richmond Centre to the quieter streets of Steveston Village. Same-day service for morning requests, next-day for afternoon calls.

Recent Appliance Repair in Richmond — Case Study
The Problem: A homeowner in Steveston called about their Samsung gas range. Two of the five burners wouldn’t ignite. The igniter would click repeatedly but never catch a flame. The range was about 4 years old and used daily for heavy cooking.
The Diagnosis: Our technician arrived the same morning. Testing the igniters showed that two of the five had developed hairline cracks in the ceramic, which prevented them from generating a strong enough spark. The constant exposure to high heat and cooking splatter had degraded the ceramic faster than normal. On Samsung gas ranges of this model year, the igniters are positioned closer to the burner caps than on older designs, which exposes them to more direct heat.
The Fix: Replaced both failed igniters with genuine Samsung genuine parts. Cleaned and inspected the remaining three igniters while the range was open, two showed early signs of the same ceramic degradation, so we flagged those for the homeowner to monitor. Tested all five burners on low and high flame to confirm consistent ignition. Total repair time was about 90 minutes.
The Outcome: All burners have been lighting on the first click since. The homeowner cooks daily and was relieved to skip the $3,000+ cost of replacing the range. Two igniter replacements plus labour came in well under $400 total, covered under our standard warranty.
